Espresso. Mac web development, now more productive than caffeine.

Get Organized

While you can use Espresso as a great standalone text editor, Projects are where the action is. One easy source list provides quick access to everything you need, without needing to juggle around windows. Files, Previews, Publishing, … everything just a click away.

Introducing the Workspace

You've used tabs, and you've used sidebars. What you haven't used is the Espresso Workspace, which combines the best of both worlds. Space efficient, organized and convenient like a sidebar; dynamic and flexible like tabs. Reorder Workspace tabs, move them into their own window, add windows back to the Workspace… it's all possible and ridiculously easy. One window or many? You're in charge.

Best tabs around

Espresso includes CSSEdit's widely praised tabs, with extra sweetness. Quickly dragging tabs between and into their own windows, check! Dragging entire tabbed windows into other tab bars or the Workspace, making it a snap to reorganize your documents? Also check!

Requirements

Espresso requires Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or higher. Public Beta is time-limited and needs to be updated regularly.

There Will Be Bugs

If you're afraid of some wonkiness, please walk away now. While Espresso is not going to devour your canary, it is still in beta. If something weird happens, we'd love to have your feedback! Why a Public Beta?
